A much calmer Jeff Gordon (No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet SS) on Friday after qualifying second for Sunday's AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, an Eliminator 8 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Gordon, who is in the Chase, was leading the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings going into the race, but on the first of two Green-White-Checker finishes to end the race, Gordon came together with Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Team Penske Miller Lite Ford Fusion) and ended up with a cut tire and a blown fuse, finishing 29th.  Jimmie Johnson (No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Lowe's Red Vest Chevrolet SS) took first, Kevin Harvick (No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Budweiser Chevrolet SS) grabbed second on the final re-start, and Keselowski ended up third. The now obligatory melee ensued after the fact, with Gordon and Keselowski getting into it (after Harvick shoved Keselowski from behind, in a classic chicken shit move). Our thoughts? Ridiculous and stupid doesn't even begin to cover it. Watch NASCAR videos here, here, and here.

(Stadium Super Truck)

Robby Gordon pounced on an uncharacteristic mistake by IndyCar veteran E.J. Viso and won Saturday’s SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS Stadium Super Truck race at the MGM Resorts Village. Gordon then held off an aggressive Keegan Kincaid who finished second.  Burt Jenner in the Gladiator/House Beer truck came home third marking his first podium finish. The same Stadium Super Trucks will conclude their 2014 seasonThursday night at the MGM Resorts Village at 8:00 p.m. SST will begin its 2015 season at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, Australia Feb. 27-March 1 and follow that with a full slate of races with a schedule that will be announced in the coming weeks. The SST race from MGM in Las Vegas can be seen on NBCSN Nov. 21 at 12:30 a.m. ET and 9:30 p.m. PT (Nov. 20).

Ken Block (No. 43 Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta ST) won the main event and his second victory of the season but it wasn't enough as Joni Wiman (No. 31 Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta ST) won the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship in Las Vegas at The LINQ Wednesday with his runner-up finish. The Finn won the title by five points—the equivalent of a single finishing position over the entire season.
