Marc Marquez (No. 93 Repsol Honda Team RC213V) won the Aragon MotoGP in Spain on Sunday. Jorge Lorenzo (No. 99 Movistar Yamaha MotoGP YZR-M1) was second and Valentino Rossi (No. 46 Movistar Yamaha MotoGP YZR-M1) finished third. Marquez increased his lead over Rossi in the MotoGP championship standings to 52 points.

Kevin Harvick (No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing ditech Chevrolet SS) won the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, the second round in NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship. Matt Kenseth (No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Dollar General Toyota) was second, Kyle Busch (No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing M&Ms Core Toyota Camry) finished third, and Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Team Penske Miller Lite Ford Fusion) came in fourth and takes over the Chase points lead. It was Harvick's 34th win in NASCAR's premier series.

Neil Verhagen (No. 3 K-Hill Motorsports/Hoosier Mygale SJ11/Honda) of Mooresville, North Carolina, became the youngest SCCA National Champion ever on Sunday, winning the Formula F class during the SCCA Runoffs presented by Garmin VIRB at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. At 15 years, 242 days, Verhagen is more than a full year younger than current IndyCar star Graham Rahal was when capturing a Formula Atlantic National Championship at the same track in 2005. Hans Saurino (No. 11 Quantum Racing/Hoosier Van Diemen RF97/Honda) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, finished second and David Livingston, Jr. (No. 85 ThermaMasters Spectrum 14H/Honda) of Nashville, Tennessee, was third. Russell Ruedisueli (No. 20 Hoosier/Farley/Primus Van Diemen RF99/Ford) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, finished fourth. Verhagen covered the 21-lap race, slowed once for a four-lap caution period and shortened to the 40-minute time limit, for an average of 77.266 mph. His fast lap of 1:30.133 (90.187 mph) led the field by nearly a second. Verhagen also claimed the SCCA Super Sweep Award, winning his U.S. Majors Tour Conference, the national point championship, a key regular season race and, finally, the Runoffs. "I'm ecstatic right now," Verhagen said. "It's quite an accomplishment to be the youngest driver to ever win the Runoffs and set pole. I'm head over heels right now." Verhagen also earned a spot in the Mazda Road to Indy Scholarship Shootout with champions from a variety of racing series, where the winner can earn a scholarship to the USF2000 series for 2017. The 53rd SCCA National Championship Runoffs presented by Garmin VIRB crowned 28 Sports Car Club of America Club Racing National Champions last weekend at Mid-Ohio.

The Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on Saturday will be the final "Clash of the Titans" in the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the GT Le Mans class. Michelin, which supplies teams from BMW Team RLL, Corvette Racing, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing, Porsche North America, Risi Competizione Ferrari and Scuderia Corsa Ferrari is fully prepared to contribute to the teams' diametrically conflicting agendas.   “Our technical partners are powerful, factory linked teams and each has its own agenda and race plan,” said Chris Baker, motorsports director, Michelin North America. “We have worked with each of our technical partners as they developed tire strategies and chassis set-ups that should be well suited for the expected conditions and I fully expect each of them to lead at some stage of the race.” “The WeatherTech Championship GTLM manufacturer, team and driver titles are all on the line, and the teams that are out of the championships will be all in for the race win and trying to build momentum for next year,” said Baker. “Road Atlanta (2.54 miles) is a popular place for our technical partner teams to test and having a 10 Hour race as the finale opens up a wide array of strategic options.” Chevrolet's Corvette Racing holds a big 20 point lead over rival Ford in the Manufacturer Championship and can clinch that title mid-race. Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner (No. 4 Corvette C7.R joined at Road Atlanta by Marcel Fassler), with wins at Daytona and Sebring, lead the team and driver standings by eleven points over Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook (No. 67 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT). The Ford team has had an excellent debut season with a class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller (joined by Sebastien Bourdais) and three wins in the WeatherTech Championship. Last year's Petit Le Mans saw a stunning overall race victory in the wet by the Porsche North America GTLM Porsche 911 RSR driven by Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet, winners of the 2016 Long Beach round. Porsche North America teammates Earl Bamber and Frederick Makowiecki were the most recent GTLM winners at the WeatherTech Championship round at Circuit of The Americas.

Audi unveiled a competition version of the new RS 3 in Paris. The Audi RS 3 LMS is being developed by Audi Sport customer racing for the new TCR category. In addition to an international TCR series, with some of its races being held as part of the FIA Formula One World Championship supporting program, more and more national racing series for TCR touring cars are being founded. Even major endurance events such as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring are now including TCR classes. The Audi RS 3 LMS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of about 240 km/h. In TCR trim, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine of the RS 3 LMS delivers 330HP.

A group of young Honda engineers took to the salt flats of Bonneville, Utah, with the Honda S Dream Streamliner to post the fastest speed ever recorded for a Honda vehicle. Not only did the Honda engineers post a new FIA World Record of 261.875mph (1mile), 261.966mph (1km) for a vehicle in its class (Category-A Group-1 Class-4), it posted a speed faster than any Honda-powered car ever at the iconic venue, including the record established by a Honda-powered BAR F1 car at Bonneville in 2006. The team set the record using a three-cylinder, 660cc engine based on the one designed for the Honda S660 sports car.

The FIA Formula E Championship will stage a New York City ePrix doubleheader next July in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It will be the first FIA-sanctioned open-wheel race to take place within the five boroughs of New York City in modern history. The 1.947km (1.21mile) circuit, which remains subject to FIA track
homologation, features 13 turns and will wind its way around Pier 11 and the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
