Sebastian Eriksson (No. 93 Red Bull Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta ST) took the first victory of his Red Bull Global Rallycross career in Sunday’s main event at Daytona International Speedway. Eriksson, who took third place in Saturday’s final, held off Ken Block (No. 43 Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta ST) and Steve Arpin (No. 00 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford Fiesta ST) for the victory. “It’s been a great weekend for us,” said Eriksson, who also took the Red Bull GRC points lead by eight points over Block. “We struggled a little bit yesterday with the setup of the car—we didn’t have the pace to close on the fastest guys, but we solved that for today. I won my heat and my semifinal, and we got away in the start of the final so we could get a little bit of a gap on Ken and the other guys. And I guess I could do my own race and this time, it was enough.”

Timmy Hansen (No. 21 Peugeot Hansen Peugeot 208 WRX) finished third to make it a double podium for Team Peugeot-Hansen. “To win today feels incredible, it’s been the perfect weekend for me and it’s really fantastic for the team to have Timmy on the podium too,” said Jeanney, who enters the record books after becoming the first Frenchman to win a round of World RX.
(Lexus)
Lexus will compete with the all-new RC F GT Concept in the Time Attack class of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 28th. A "focused race car involving a high level of composite materials," according to Lexus, the RC F GT Concept weighs 3130 lbs. - about 800 lbs. less than the street version - while retaining the same engine and transmission as the production RC F. Justin Bell will pilot the new Lexus up the mountain. A 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and automotive media personality, Bell had this to say: “With very little time behind the wheel, the RC F GT Concept has already proven fast and easy to drive, very much like the production models, actually. We expect the race car will only pick up pace as we engage more testing, tuning, and data acquisition on the mountain.” The historic event, now in its 93rd running, is a race against the clock that tests man and machine with the changing elements, altitude and a treacherous 12.42-mile, 156-turn course that winds up the peak from 9,390 feet up to the 14,115-foot summit.

For Corvette Racing, 2015 has already been a memorable year. With victories at Sebring, Daytona and yet another triumph at Le Mans two weeks ago (its eighth class win in sixteen attempts), Corvette Racing has dominated the premier endurance races on the global sports car calendar. Corvette Racing returns to the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship this weekend for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International, competing with two Chevrolet Corvette C7.R racing machines in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class. Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner will run the No. 4 Corvette Racing C7.R machine, while Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen will race the No. 3 team car. Due to a major accident at Le Mans in qualifying with Magnussen at the wheel, Corvette Racing has borrowed another C7.R chassis from European partner Larbre Competition to serve as the No. 3 car entry at Watkins Glen. This weekend also serves as the third race in the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup, a four-round collection of the TUDOR Championship’s long-distance events. Garcia and Magnussen lead the driver’s standings over Gavin and Milner, while Chevrolet leads among GTLM manufacturers.

(Porsche)
Porsche Cars North America has unveiled the official Rennsport Reunion V artwork for its gathering of historic and contemporary Porsche race cars, and their drivers, September 25 to 27, 2015. This year’s event will feature the decades-long success story of Porsche at Le Mans. The poster depicts the 356 of 1951, first Porsche entrant and first class winner at the famed 24 hour race; the 917, which garnered the first overall victory with Hans Herrmann and Dick Attwood in 1970; and the 919 hybrid prototype with which Porsche returned to the top category of sports car racing in 2014 after a 16-year absence. The painting is by automotive artist Dennis Simon, who created the posters for three of the previous four venues. Additional details about the Porsche Rennsport Reunion V along with images from the first four Rennsport Reunions will be published on the official Porsche Rennsport Reunion V website, www.porscherennsportreunion.com, and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca’s website (www.mazdaraceway.com), as they become available.
