Jeff Gordon closed out his spectacular NASCAR career on Sunday. He didn't get the win and his fifth championship, but there's no doubt he left an indelible mark on the sport, ushering in NASCAR's modern era. Among Gordon’s career highlights driving the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet:

Kyle Larson (No. 42 Harry Scott Jr. Crest Chevrolet Camaro) won the Ford EcoBoost 300 Xfinity race at Homestead-Miami Speedway Saturday, but 23-year-old Chris Buescher (No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Fastenal Mustang) won his first NASCAR Xfinity Championship. Get more info here.

Ducati Corse has announced that two-time MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner will return to the Italian manufacturer next year in the role of brand ambassador and test rider. Stoner won the 2007 MotoGP World Championship on the Ducati Desmosedici GP with ten wins in eighteen races, results that also helped the Italian manufacturer to clinch the Constructors’ title. Between 2007 and 2010, Casey won a total of 23 races for Ducati. The 30-year-old Australian from Southport (Queensland), who is widely considered to be one of the fastest and most talented riders ever, will appear at the 2016 edition of World Ducati Week as part of the agreement, scheduled to run from July 1-3. He will also take part in a selected number of MotoGP tests for the Ducati Team next year.

Nineteen-year-old Byron, Michigan, native Erik Jones (No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra) captured the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) driver’s championship when he finished sixth in Friday night’s season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Jones clinched his first-career NASCAR title by 15 points over second-place driver Tyler Reddick by winning three races (Iowa, Canada and Texas). Jones also earned five pole positions, eleven top-five results, 20 top-ten finishes and led 925 laps in 23 races this season. Jones also won NCWTS Rookie of the Year honors, becoming the first NCWTS driver to clinch both titles in the same season. It also marks the first NCWTS driver’s championship for Kyle Busch Motorsports, and the team also clinched the 2015 NCWTS Owner’s Championship. The 2015 title marks the sixth NCWTS driver’s championship for Toyota since the manufacturer began competing in the series with the Tundra in 2004.
