No, there's nothing really new about the 2023 Lexus LC 500 Coupe, LC 500h Coupe and LC 500 convertible - except for some paint colors and dynamic tweaks - but since they're some of the most beautiful designs on the road, they're always worth looking at. How much? The LC 500 Coupe: $94,600. The LC 500h Coupe: $100, 600. The LC 500 Convertible: $102,650.

Honda has offered the first look at the exterior and interior styling of the all-new Honda Prologue battery-electric SUV that will come to market in North America in 2024. The Prologue - co-developed by GM - features "clean and simple 'Neo-Rugged' exterior and interior styling and ample interior space that’s ready for adventure inside and outside the city limits," according to Honda PR minions. A young team of Honda designers based in Los Angeles is responsible for leading the exterior and interior styling of the all-new Prologue. "Our goal was to create a clean harmony based on a rugged SUV image by coordinating the colors and materials to express neo-rugged design styling that’s familiar to our customers and uniquely Honda," said Masaki Sumimoto, design lead for the Color, Materials and Finish. To push the Honda EV brand identity further, the "H-mark" badge on the rear of the vehicle is replaced with the full Honda brand name in a stylized typeface. In addition, to align with Honda’s global EV models, Prologue will adopt the brand’s e: series name badging. Prologue’s generous dimensions and roomy interior position the SUV alongside the Passport in Honda’s light truck lineup. Prologue will have a wheelbase of 121.8-inches, and is about 8-inches longer and 5-inches wider than the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V. More details on the Prologue will be released in the coming months with customers encouraged to sign up for updates at https://automobiles.honda.com/future-cars/prologue#stayinformed.

Lamborghini embarked on a very special London tour in a Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 from Abbey Road Studios to Savile Row, and many of the famous streets in between. It was a journey that helped define the world’s most successful and influential band, The Beatles, to whom Lamborghini plays tribute on the day of the 60th anniversary of their debut single “Love Me Do”, released on October 5, 1962. The Beatles recorded virtually their entire output at Abbey Road, including “Love Me Do,” and when they performed live for the very last time on the roof of their Savile Row Apple Corps headquarters on January 30, 1969, a Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2, Rosso Alfa (red) with Nero (black) interior, was parked on the street below. The car is visible in director Peter Jackson’s recent award-winning Beatles documentary, Get Back. Editor-in-Chief's Note: Yes, the Lamborghini connection to The Beatles is a stretch, but it gave us an excuse to showcase one of our all-time favorite cars. So, it was worth it. -PMD
The AE Song of the Week:
He was born on a summer day 1951
And with a slap of a hand
He landed as an only son
His mother and father said what a lovely boy
We'll teach him what we learned
Ah yes just what we learned
We'll dress him up warmly and
We'll send him to school
It'll teach him how to fight
To be nobody's fool
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
In the summer of '53 his mother
Brought him a sister
And she told him we must attend to her needs
She's so much younger than you
Well he ran down the hall and he cried
Oh how could his parents have lied
When they said he was an only son
He thought he was the only one
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
Goodbye mama, goodbye to you
Goodbye papa I'm pushing on through
He left home on a winter day 1969
And he hoped to find all the love
He had lost in that earlier time
Well his sister grew up
And she married a man
He gave her a son
Ah yes a lovely son
They dressed him up warmly
They sent him to school
It taught him how to fight
To be nobody's fool
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
Oh what a lonely boy
"Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold, from the album "What's Wrong With This Picture?" (1977).*Written by Andrew M. Gold. Publisher: Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd. Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind. Listen here.
*The song follows the life of a child who is neglected by his parents after the birth of a younger sister. Many assume this song to be autobiographical of Andrew Gold, yet the artist has denied this, despite great similarities between the lyrics and Gold's own life. The lyric, "He was born on a summer day in 1951" matches Gold's August 1951 birthday, and "In the summer of '53 his mother/Brought him a sister" matches his sister's birthday. Linda Ronstadt sang backing vocals on this track, marking a role reversal for the singers: Gold backed Ronstadt (on keyboards, guitar and vocals) on her albums Heart Like a Wheel, Prisoner in Disguise and Hasten Down the Wind. Andrew Maurice Gold (August 2, 1951 – June 3, 2011) was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who influenced much of the Los Angeles-dominated pop/soft rock sound in the 1970s. Gold played on scores of records by other artists and had his own success with the U.S. top 40 hits "Lonely Boy" (1977) and "Thank You for Being a Friend" (1978), as well as the UK top five hit "Never Let Her Slip Away" (1978). In the 1980s, he had further international chart success as one half of Wax, a collaboration with 10cc's Graham Gouldman. During the 1990s, Gold produced, composed, performed on and wrote tracks for films, commercials, and television soundtracks, such as "Final Frontier", the theme of the sitcom Mad About You. Some of his older works later experienced newfound popularity: "Thank You for Being a Friend" was used as the opening theme for The Golden Girls, and the children's novelty song "Spooky, Scary Skeletons" (1996) became an Internet meme in the 2010s. In 1997, Gold released a tribute to 1960s psychedelic music, Greetings from Planet Love, issued under the pseudonym "the Fraternal Order of the All".He died in 2011 at age 59 from heart failure.
