Audi will unveil a supercar concept car with electric drive during the 2018 Pebble Beach Car Week in California. The abbreviated name for the Audi concept – Audi PB18 e-tron – refers to the Pebble Beach venue and the year of its debut. The name intentionally refers to the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning Audi R18 e-tron. The styling of the Audi PB 18 e-tron was developed at the new Malibu Design Loft. The Audi PB18 e-tron will be unveiled at 5 p.m. on August 23, 2018, at Laguna Seca; at “The Quail” on August 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and again at Laguna Seca on August 25 (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The supercar concept will appear for the final time on Sunday, August 26, at the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach.

The new BMW M2 Competition will replace the BMW M2 Coupe in the German automaker's lineup. It is powered by a new in-line six-cylinder with M TwinPower Turbo technology (based on the 3.0-liter engine in the BMW M3/M4) with 302 kW/410HP and peak torque of 550 Nm. The standard gearbox is a six-speed manual or a M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) is available. Performance? 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 s (with six-speed manual gearbox 4.4 s), top speed: 250 km/h (limited), 280 km/h with M Driver´s Package (limited). Other goodies? High-precision CFRP strut and bulkhead strut for increased front section rigidity; a new cooling system; new front skirt and larger, redesigned BMW kidney in high-gloss black; new dual exhaust system with two electrically-controlled flaps; new, optional M Sport brakes with brake calipers painted grey; new optional M Sport bucket seat with integrated headrests and illuminated M2 badge at shoulder height. It is also available in an exclusive new metallic color: Hockenheim Silver.

One of the biggest and most popular automotive events each summer is the Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. The 21st annual even drew tens of thousands of custom car fans to the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus the weekend of July 6-8. Six thousand hot rods, street rods, classics and customs jammed the Center, and we'd thought we'd share some images of our favorites.

Ford. Every Saturday for the past seventeen years, Karen Gates and her team of volunteers at The Ark Association have set up shop at Detroit’s Roosevelt Park in front of Michigan Central Station to provide food, clothing and hope to the hungry and homeless. Recently, the vehicle used to transport food and supplies broke down, limiting The Ark’s ability to serve members of the community who have come to rely on the meal service. This past Saturday, the Ford Motor Company delivered a 12-passenger Transit van to help Gates and her team continue their mission. The delivery occurred outside the Ford Resource and Engagement Center (FREC), a community center in nearby southwest Detroit that provides residents with a variety of services. Last month Ford announced that it had acquired the Michigan Central Station in order to transform it into the centerpiece of a vibrant new campus in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood that will serve as an innovation hub for Ford’s vision for the future of transportation. Ford’s investments also include the former Detroit Public Schools Book Depository, two acres of vacant land, the site of an old brass factory and the purchase of a refurbished former factory that is now home to the company’s autonomous and electric vehicle teams. Ford and Ford Fund provide nearly $20 million a year for education, arts, culture, hunger relief and more in and around the city of Detroit.
