Monday, October 9, 2017 at 07:00AM Editor-in-Chief's Note: Rather than do a new "Fumes" column this week I thought we'd feature the exceptional photographic work of John Thawley from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2017 season finale - Petit Le Mans - which was run last Saturday at Road Atlanta. John is an old friend of mine from our previous other lives and it's a privilege to showcase his work in these pages. Sebring, Florida, March 21, 1964. Dan Gurney in the factory No. 11 Shelby American Cobra (co-driven by Bob Johnson) during the 12-Hour race. Gurney qualified the machine in eighth position in GT 5.0 and ran well but the duo DNF due to a crash at the very end of the race and were classified tenth overall.
