Will Power (No. 12 Team Penske Verizon Chevrolet) won the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg for the second time since 2010. Power held off Ryan Hunter-Reay (No. 28 Andretti Autosport DHL Honda) in a 22-lap sprint following a very questionable restart - okay, it was a Bush League Bullshit move by Power - and went on to win by 1.9475 seconds.

Helio Castroneves (No. 3 Team Penske Hitachi Chevrolet) finished third in the 2014 INDYCAR opener. "... the qualifying was a little tricky for us but I knew I had a very fast car, no question," Castroneves said. "And I was pushing as hard as I could during the race. Unfortunately, one of the restarts was a poker game with Will. But you know its ok, its good.  He was fast in the end and it was very difficult to push it. Plus with the tires that we had scuffed at the end, it turned out to be a great race."

Kurt Busch (No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Haas Chevrolet SS) won the STP 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway Sunday, a tedious caution-fest but a vindicating win for Busch. Jimmie Johnson (No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Lowe's Chevrolet SS) finished second and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet SS) came in third. Busch’s 25th career victory was his first in 83 races. Watch a NASCAR video here.

PJ Jones won the second round of the SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road Presented by Traxxas race at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Sunday, beating Robby Gordon (Saturday's winner) to the line by a truck length. Jerett Brooks, 16, finished third, making it the high-school student’s second-consecutive podium finish after coming home second in Saturday’s first race. Jones, a veteran of IndyCar, USAC Silver Crown and Sprint Cars, started sixth. The
Traxxas-branded trucks ran on the 1.8-mile 14-turn road circuit with man-made ramps strategically placed so that the trucks could "fly" through the air side by side. Saturday and Sunday’s races at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will be broadcast on NBCSN April 17 at 1 a.m. EST and 10 p.m. PST. (April 16). Round 3 will be April 13 at the Long Beach Grand Prix.
