Toyota dominated the 2014 World Endurance Championship opener with a one-two finish at the 6 Hours of Silverstone on Sunday. Sebastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Nicolas Lapierre (No. 8
TS040 Hybrid) won by a lap over the No. 7 TS040 Hybrid team car driven by Alex Wurz, Kazuki Nakajima and Stephane Sarrazin. The race was red-flagged just under 30 minutes before its scheduled finish due to heavy rain. Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley (Porsche 919 Hybrid) finished third, two laps down on the lead and one down on the second-place Toyota.
