Jeff Gordon (No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet SS) ran up front most of the day leading 87 laps, but got caught up in a multi-car wreck on the last lap, finishing 33rd. Jimmie Johnson (No, 48 Hendrick Motorsports Lowe's Chevrolet SS) finished fifth. The Hendrick Motorsports squad was formidable as always, but Joey Logano and Team Penske came through at the end. It was Logano's ninth win in NASCAR's top series.

McLaren says that its new, track-focused 675LT "re-establishes the McLaren 'Longtail' heritage, focusing on light weight, optimized aerodynamics, increased power, track-focused dynamics and driver engagement." We don't see the "longtail" connection - at all - but McLaren seems hell-bent on wringing every last dollar out of this platform, so, it is what it is. Lighter by 100kg, with a third of parts changed compared to the 650S (the M838TL engine has more than 50 percent new components, according to McLaren), the 675LT goes 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
