(Nigel Kinrade - Autostock, 2012)
Ford swept the front row in qualifying for the Daytona 500 this past Sunday. Roush Fenway Racing teammates Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle will be on the front row. It marks the first Daytona 500 pole for Edwards (above) and the second Daytona 500 pole for car owner Jack Roush (Greg Biffle in 2004). It's also the first time the Roush Fenway Racing organization has swept the front row. Next Sunday marks the 54th running of the Daytona 500. The last driver to win the Daytona 500 from the pole is Dale Jarrett (2000). The live broadcast of the event starts at Noon on FOX.

(ALMS)
Lotus Motorsport and Alex Job Racing have announced a partnership that will see Lotus Alex Job Racing compete for the GT championship in the 2012 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. The factory-backed effort will feature a 2012 Lotus Evora GTE car beginning with the stop at Long Beach the weekend of April 14th. Lotus AJR will carry sponsorship from Battery Tender, William Rast and is a Yokohama-supported team for 2012. Team principal Alex Job confirmed that IndyCar driver Townsend Bell will partner with two-time ALMS Founders Cup winner and AJR driver Bill Sweedler for the full season. The pair will attempt to build on Alex Job Racing’s record of 39 ALMS race victories and three GT championships, while going against factory and works-supported GT entries from BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari and Porsche. (Good luck with that - PMD.)

(Audi)
Audi Tradition will be embracing the 2012 auto season again this year. Car enthusiasts can see some of Audi's most historic vehicles at more than 25 events throughout Europe during the year. The high point? Legendary driver Jacky Ickx will be at the controls of a Auto Union Type D Silver Arrow dating from 1938 through the streets of Monaco during the F1 weekend. Audi will also have a presence at the Mille Miglia. And this year’s Audi Tradition display at the “Techno Classica” in Essen, the world’s largest historic car show, is twice the size of last year’s: valuable vehicles from the company’s history will be seen on more than 700 square meters of floor space.
