Carl Edwards. His crew chief, Bob Osborne, gambled on fuel mileage at the end, going the final 69 laps - 103-1/2 miles ­ - without a stop, and Carl Edwards (No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford) came away with the win last Sunday in the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Edwards finished 8.31 seconds ahead of polesitter Jeff Gordon (No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports DuPont Chevrolet). Jamie McMurray (No. 26 Roush Fenway Racing IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford) finished third. Jimmie Johnson (No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Lowe's Chevrolet) finished 15th but still leads Edwards by 106 points with two races to go.

Road America. The Ford GT40 will be the featured marque at Road America’s Kohler International Challenge with Brian Redman, July 16-19, 2009. Every year vintage car enthusiasts gather at Road America to celebrate the beauty and performance of the world’s greatest racecars. Over 1,000 entries are showcased in 10 race groups. The Road & Track Concours d’Elegance features a Friday night racecar convoy from the track to downtown Elkhart Lake. The cars then line the streets for judging and spectator viewing. Sports cars are featured on Saturday night. As event marque, the GT40 will be celebrated with a feature race, showcase cars, displays, GT40 enthusiast activities and special guests.
