(Audi)
The new Audi A8 has made its world debut at the Audi Summit in Barcelona. The fourth generation of Audi's flagship model is loaded to the gills with more technology than we care to even write about. Audi also says that the new A8 is the first production automobile in the world to have been developed for highly automated driving. From 2018, Audi will gradually be taking piloted driving functions such as parking pilot, garage pilot and traffic jam pilot into production. We can hardly wait... to be less interested than we already are. It will get here next year sometime.

(The Petersen Museum)
The Petersen Automotive Museum will commemorate the 85th anniversary of the 1932 Ford “Deuce” with a day-long car show cruise-in and celebration on Saturday, July 15th. Immediately following the conclusion of the show at 4:00 p.m., a procession of Deuces will drive from The Petersen to the Edelbrock Museum in Torrance to pay tribute to performance icon and Los Angeles native Vic Edelbrock, who helped shape the performance industry and passed away on June 9th at the age of 80. The ’32 Ford, nicknamed “Deuce” for the second digit of its model year, was one of the first affordable production cars with a V8 engine and became a favorite of racers in post-WWII Southern California. The Petersen celebrates this iconic car every five years with a car show and cruise-in open to hot rod fans of all types, with special parking on the top deck of the structure for ’32 Fords. Deuce Day will begin at 7:30 AM with a cruise-in of ‘32s. The event is free to the public, ticket purchase only required for those entering their Deuce. Tickets include entry to the museum. For more information on Deuce Day, visit Petersen.org/32-2.

(Jaguar images)
This is the all-new Jaguar E-PACE, which the company says "
is a five-seat compact SUV that packs the design and performance of a Jaguar sports car into a practical and connected all-wheel-drive vehicle." We're pretty tired of these companies calling these things sports cars, or saying they offer "sports car design and dynamics." Audi started it and it really sucks, by the way. The E-PACE and E-PACE R-Dynamic are selectively available in Standard, S, SE and HSE specifications with a choice of two 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline turbocharged powertrains delivering 246HP and 296HP. The short story? It's Jaguar's competitor to the Porsche Macan and with prices beginning around $40,000, we're quite certain they're going to sell the shit out of 'em.
